Neighbourhoods is not just a design, but an ecosystem geared toward driving adoption of this design. This section explains how we intend to get from where we are today to a future distributed web without vendor lock-in and with sufficient social intelligence for the distributed web to viably replace web 2.0, through the vehicle of portable, contextual social data and all the knock-on benefits that these bring.
